•  Weighted feed to determine how much milk baby is getting when at breast

•  Nipple shield initiation, correct usage, how to discontinue, care & cleaning

•  Alternate feeding methods: SNS, finger feeding, paced bottle feeding

•  Personalized feeding plan of care

•  Sleep information for mom and baby

•  Answer questions within time of visit

•  Access to our private chat feature for future questions

The ultimate in Lactation prevention and wellness! This visit is done privately with you and your partner to receive the assessment and education needed to get breastfeeding going well from birth.  This visit helps to determine risk factors for breastfeeding problems, and helps to avoid serious breastfeeding problems

This visit can be done in your home, our office or virtually.  Many Momma's choose the home options to review the supplies you will need, and the space where you will feed your baby with the Lactation Consultant.  Most of the time, the LC that does your prenatal visit will be the LC that assists you after the baby is born. This may only change due to your request, urgency of visit, or vacations.  We strive to provide consistency of care. 

What is included in this visit

*Full history and physical (your will get set up in our electronic health record called "Mobile Lactation Consultant")

* Breast exam

* Antenatal Expression

* All the education needed for getting your baby to latch directly after delivery and the days following

* Access to our private chat feature.  You will be able to ask questions and keep us updated regarding labor and

   Delivery

* A hand expression kit that you can pack into your hospital bag

* Choose a breast pump that will best fit your situation and based on your medical benefits (we do recommend

    you get your breast pump prior to baby's birth if possible)

* Doing a prenatal appt with Just Natural will put you on our priority appt list so you will be able to be seen as

   quickly as needed after you get home from the hospital.

* You will receive a detailed after visit summary which includes a full summary of all the information taught, short

   focused videos & handouts for you and your partner

*  If you choose to partner with us after the baby is born, you will receive our Breastfeeding Support Group for

    free (a $10 value per session) for the duration of your breastfeeding Journey.  We hold the support group   

    every other Wednesday at 1:30 pm via Zoom. (Studies show mamma's breastfeeding longer and are more 

    gratified with their breastfeeding journey when they receive the right support)

Prenatal Visits are covered through some insurances including Aetna PPO, United Health Care, Multi Plan, Cigna, & Prime Health Care.   Tricare will cover office and virtual prenatal visits.  All other insurances require a referral and pre authorization.  You can choose to schedule an insurance evaluation appointment so we can check your benefits.  See the services table to schedule an insurance evaluation appt.
